It was my husand’s birthday and we got ready to settle in for good music at the Baltimore Jazz Fesitval. Earlier in the year we were disappointed with the coordination and scheduling of the DC Jazz Festival and so you can bet we were ready to be amazed and we were! Sitting in the shadow of M&T Bank Stadium, The Game was the spot for the Baltimore Jazz Festival.
Our hearts were set on seeing a friend of mine that I follow on social media, Clarence Ward III and Dat Feel Good. We got what we paid for with great food, great music, a beautiful day and terrific atmosphere. All the musicians were on point! Clarence gave a wonderful performance and all the musicians made themselves available to chat and take photos with audience members.
- John Lamkin “Favorites” Quintet
- The Larnell Lewis Band
- The Melting Pot Big Band
- Blackman Murray Russo
- Clarence Ward III & Dat Feel Good
All were on time, ready to perform and had the audience swaying, singing and clapping to the beat! This was my first time at a real jazz concert so I was pleasantl y surprised! The venue was great as well with tents to cover from the sun and outside vendors on hand. THE GAME located at 1400 Warner Street, Baltimore, MD 21230 was the spot for this event and it was well put togeether
I am sure that we will be front row and center for next years festival. I know we will try to get to more shows with Clarence Ward and his band. Baltimore has some hidden gems so don’t miss out!
