Tell Me, Are You Listening?

Community activated and musically driven with a message to inspire his listeners.  This is what is unique about this Grammy considered artist of 2016.  What Dell-P has to tell you is a valid message to make you think and groove all at the same time.  Let’s get to know Dell-P

Tell my readers about you and how you came to be who you are today?

My name is Dell-P and I’m an aspiring hip hop artist and community activist.

Where were you born/raised and how did you come to settle where you are now?

I was born and raised in West Philadelphia.

What made you decide to do what you do and how has the impact on community changed your life?

I have been in love with hip hop since a toddler. Growing up in Philadelphia have seen the good, bad, and the ugly so that gives me many issues to address in my music.

What inspires you to do what you do?

My inspiration comes from my love for the culture and also the youth. I want them to know there are some positive emcees out here making a statement.

What was the biggest obstacle in achieving your success?

The biggest obstacle was when my mother passed away. I wasn’t focused for awhile but then I told myself I have to go even harder.

What was the initial experience like and what was the upside/downside of the experience?

It was hard to find inspiration to make music at the time but the upside is that it made me stronger as a person.

What would you change about what you do ?

The only thing I would change is traveling outside of the city more often. The message in my music is highly appreciated but it’s time for me to expand.

What advice would you give to young people who find interest in what you do?

My advice for the youth is to always believe in yourself, stay true to who you are no matter what, and don’t follow a wave create your own.

How has family played a part in your success?

My motivation comes from my family. I am the first born so I have to make them proud and I want to be able to provide for them.

Is there any one thing that you constantly do/say that makes a difference in the outcome of what you do?

I invest in myself and I live by the phrase “hard work pays off”.

What is in store for the future?

Currently I am promoting my new album “4 Da ART” available on all digital platforms such as Itunes, Google Play, Tidal, Amazon, and Spotify. I will be performing at numerous festivals this summer including Odunde, Juneteenth, and Soul Stock.
